REMINISCENCE FROM AN ABSTRACT LANDSCAPE
In Spanish "Reminiscencia de un paisaje abstracto", is a serie of analog collages composed of photographic archive intervened with paint and paper. The work appears as a representation of the imaginary of the "NO-place" from an immigrant; A restless soul, always in motion and in constant search. These spaces, built of geographies - mostly European places-, is a graphic metaphor that responds to the paradigm "I am not from here, I’m not from there". Not belonging to these landscapes, but their undeniable presence, invites us to reflect on the sensitivity of the role of an immigrant and the difficulty of their condition. The work, in addition, is a dialogue between the photo archive as a memory (past) and the role as an external altering agent (the present).
